I've been reading Howard Zinn Lately. He has a relatively new book out called "Original Zinn" It's a bunch of interviews he did with a guy named David Barsamian. Noam Chomsky has one out in that same format. They're both really interesting. I've been cluttering my mind with so much literature lately, between school and what i read for "fun" it seems like im always reading. I need to go to another show. Propagandhi is on the 25th, Daggermouth is the 20th and i got tickets for night one of the F*cked Up fest as its called, with Righteous Jams, Mind Eraser, and of course the infamous "Hidden World." I Finally got pictures from the Strike Anywhere, Ignite, MLIW show i saw a month ago. There aren't any photos of MLIW becuase kids in Toronto would'nt know innovative, creative and passionatte hardore music if it slapped them in the face. And it has slapped them in the face, numerous times, they just stand their like nothing happened, in a state of shock. I think most of them are robots who only respond to one-chord, monotonous breakdowns and then proceed to "ninja dance" as a result.
I only see myself in one of these pictures, i don't know which song this is from but some lame kid beside me is throwing up the horns, which sucks. i hate it when kids do that.

Devil horns should not be thrown up at a hardcore show, save 'em for when Iron Maiden comes through town. Although I'd rather see the devil horns instead of the can of Bud Light that showed up in the last picture. ha ha ha.
Propagandhi...i tried to see them when i was in LA...but it sold out so fast.
zinn...good, right? he loses me sometimes. you should check out,
the zinn reader. its a bunch of excerpts from of his books.
where are you in the pictures?!
mike, there was an obscene amount of drunk kids at that show. i guess that might explain the horns being thrown up at a hardcore show. Toronto also has a rampant problem with alcoholism, you might have noticed when you came here. iv'e been to Jay's games where half the people around me end up being escorted out of the building becuase they can't control themselves, it's sad really.
Kate, I think you need to road trip to see Propagandhi, the only problem is tickets.. i dont even have one yet and i dont know where to get them. i need see them.
the thing i like about the zinn book i just picked up is that its just full of interviews so its relatively easy to follow, he's sort of like chomsky in that he can lose the reader sometimes, both of them are brilliant dudes though, they need to be heard. i will check out the zinn reader, i was actually gonna pick it up the same time i bought original zinn, but i already had to many books i was buying.
and the pictures... im in the first one front and center right beside the lame drunk dude. im clenching my fists like i always do haha. and im in the second one sort of crunched over... you can't really see me that well.
aww you look so happy!
haha. believe it or not i am happy. i just have a weird way of showing it.
